I am promoting this product only because I like it. I am not into kitchen gimmicks and gadgets, but this thing really makes life easier. You do not have to monitor the bacon as it cooks, all of the rendered fat is captured in the dish at the bottom, and you can turn out one piece of bacon per minute on average.

If you don’t believe in cooking food in the microwave, then don’t purchase or use this item. Cook your bacon in a pan on the stovetop or in the oven on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper like in the picture seen below.

Spicy BLTs with Avocado

Ingredients:

  • 7 1/2 ounces seared Ahi Tuna
  • 3 slices crispy bacon
  • 3 large leaves of green lear or Romaine lettuce, rinsed
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1/2 avocado, pit removed, removed from skin, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Massie Mayo, if desired
  • Basil leaves, as garnish

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Lay our the lettuce on a plate.
  2. Top each piece of lettuce with one slice of bacon.
  3. Top each piece of bacon with 2 slices of avocado.
  4. Top avocado with 3 slices of seared tuna.
  5. Top tuna with Massie Mayo, Sriracha and a basil leave.
  6. Enjoy!
